Health Disparities

Health disparities and health inequities place disparate behavioral health burden on diverse race/ethnicity and special populations and group. These impact access and utilization of services among these minority communities. In recognition of the disparate morbidity and mortality burden on Ohioans, Office of Quality, Planning, and Research pursues unique studies on behavioral health disparities and outcomes on Ohioans. Especial effort is to undertake studies where much data and information is lacking. It is expected that such research would provide critical insights towards improving culturally and linguistically competent access to behavioral health services for minority communities.
