In Ohio, to apply for certification as a Peer Recovery Supporter, or to be eligible to supervise Peer Supporters, you must complete the below 11 eBased Academy courses and save your certificates of completion for each course.

IMPORTANT: The below 11 eBased Academy courses were revised September 6, 2022. Either the current or previous title will be accepted for each course, however the previous titles will no longer be available on Ebased academy after October 31, 2022. If you have not yet started a course, please complete the current title. If you have started a course under the previous title, you must complete this course by October 31, 2022 (you will not be able to access the previous title after this date).

6. The Spirit of Motivational Interviewing for Certified Peer Recovery Supporters (previous title: Ohio S-BIRT 101: An Introduction to S-BIRT and Motivational Interviewing)
