Behavioral Health and Criminal Justice Linkage Programs (BH/CJ)
The Behavioral Health and Criminal Justice Linkage Programs (BH/CJ) initiative encourages communities in Ohio to create relationships between the behavioral health and criminal justice systems so that individuals with mental illness and/or alcohol and other drug addiction get the care they need. This helps reduce the tendency to reoffend, known as recidivism, increases public safety and minimizes harm to those who come in contact with law enforcement.
