The Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) and the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC) partner to treat offenders who are in need of substance abuse recovery programming.  Participants gain an improved sense of responsibility and the ability to become law-abiding citizens. Our licensed treatment professionals build on evidence-based research and practical knowledge to: improve treatment outcomes for offenders; instill hope and opportunity for a life without substance use, and provide a seamless holistic approach to alcohol and other drug (AOD) treatment.

The process includes screening and treatment recommendations for all inmates. Then, institutions offer a variety of AOD tratment programs. Care continues with referrals to supportive and treatment-enhancing activities throughout the inmate’s incarceration.
