Infection Prevention Plan

Twin Valley Behavioral Healthcare Infection Prevention Plan - For Families and Friends of Patients

At Twin Valley Behavioral Healthcare, our priority is keeping your loved ones as safe as possible during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. We would like to let you know what we are doing to keep those you care about safe:

  • In the absence of COVID-19 cases within our hospital, we continue to protect patients through use of quarantine, social distancing, and appropriate PPE according to the most up-to-date CDC guidance.
  • In the event of positive COVID-19 cases within our hospital, we will create an isolation unit for all patients who test positive so that we can quickly move anyone who might be contagious away from patients on other units in the hospital.
  • In that event, we will also create a unit for high-risk exposures for patients who have tested negative but were in the same room as a positive patient or had close contact with a positive patient. We will be monitoring these patients closely for symptoms and offer testing for anyone who has been exposed. If symptoms arise, patients will be retested and if positive, moved to the isolation unit.
  • We are monitoring all staff and patients daily for symptoms to decrease the risk of spread from outside the hospital. We continue to have staff wear appropriate PPE and encourage all patients to wear surgical masks when outside of their rooms. We also have limited interactions between patients from different units to decrease the risk of spread.
  • We continue to offer vaccination to all eligible patients and staff.

We appreciate your concern for your loved ones, and we will continue to do everything we can to decrease their risk of exposure to illness.

Please continue to check back for future updates.
