Frank Beel

As CEO, Beel oversees approximately 450 hospital employees, 28 Community Support Network staff, and is responsible for the well-being, care and treatment of 230 patients (including the Timothy B. Moritz Forensic Unit) at the Columbus psychiatric hospital. In addition to overseeing day-to-day hospital operations, Beel also manages relations with the Alcohol Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Boards in the 15-county central Ohio catchment area served by the hospital. Beel is a proven leader with 22 years of experience at differing levels within Ohio’s public and private mental health services system. He most recently served as System Chief Nursing Officer at the Department. He holds master’s level degrees in Health Administration and Nursing from the University of Phoenix and earned an associate degree in Nursing from Sinclair Community College. Beel, who is Board-certified as an Advanced Nurse Executive, is a veteran of the United States Army Reserve and a John Glenn Leadership Academy L2000 Fellow.
