National Mobile Crisis Response Team Survey
To better understand the organization, operation, and financing of Mobile Crisis Teams, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, in partnership with the National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors, Vibrant and others, has announced the release of a first-ever National Survey of Mobile Crisis Teams. All mobile crisis, co-responder, and other field-based mental health crisis response teams are encouraged to complete this 10-minute survey by Feb. 28.
Proposals Sought for Ohio Problem Gambling Survey
OhioMHAS is soliciting competitive proposals for Round Three of the Ohio Problem Gambling Survey which will assess the human impact of gambling in the state since the initial 2012 survey. The intent is to engage a vendor to undertake development and data collection activities for an OhioMHAS survey on gambling in Ohio. As defined in the scope of work in the Request for Proposals, the contractor will also provide the state with final survey instruments in English and Spanish, biweekly fieldwork status reports, a final dataset, and a technical report detailing the sampling methodology and field procedures. Ohio Children’s Alliance 46th Annual Spring Conference – May 4-5
The Ohio Children’s Alliance announced that it will host its 46th Annual Spring Conference, “Rise Up,” on May 4-5. The hybrid event will be in-person at the Renaissance Columbus Westerville-Polaris hotel and virtual. The conference planning committee is currently accepting workshop proposals. HHS OMH Announces National Minority Health Month 2022 Theme: Give Your Community a Boost
Every April, the HHS Office of Minority Health (OMH) observes National Minority Health Month to highlight the importance of improving the health of racial and ethnic minorities and reducing health disparities. OMH is proud to announce the theme for National Minority Health Month 2022: Give Your Community a Boost! This year’s theme focuses on the continued importance of COVID-19 vaccination, including boosters, as one of the strongest tools we have to end the COVID-19 pandemic. This theme supplements the CDC recommendations to prevent COVID transmissions, such as physical distancing, use of well-fitting masks, adequate ventilation, and avoidance of crowded indoor spaces.
