OhioMHAS is pleased to announce the release of the Guidance for Applicants (GFA) for the Maternal Opioid Medical Support (M.O.M.S) project. The Department expects to award approximately $1.8 million over a three year period to:
1) Develop an integrated maternal care practice model with timely access to appropriate mental health and addiction services that extend postpartum, including intensive home-based or residential treatment;
2) Identify best practices for obstetrical services relating to MAT, before, during and after delivery and develop a toolkit to support clinical practice; and
3) Conduct a pilot and evaluation with promising practices at 2-3 sites that will integrate the model into standard practices.
Applications must be received at OhioMHAS by 2:00 P.M., Friday, December 6, 2013. Applications must be submitted electronically to: OhioMHASBidOpportunity@mha.ohio.gov. Applications submitted via hard copy or facsimile will not be accepted. A webinar for interested applicants will be held on November 22nd and information about joining the webinar will be available on the OhioMHAS website.
