September is FASD Awareness and Prevention Month

Prenatal alcohol exposure is the leading cause of preventable intel­lectual disabilities and birth defects in the U.S. Recognizing this, Gov. John R. Kasich has designated Sep­tember as Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) Awareness and Prevention Month in Ohio to serve as an important reminder that alcohol-related birth defects can be completely prevented.
