Patient Care System
The Patient Care System (PCS) is the official system for patient data for the Ohio Department of Mental Health & Addiction Services (OhioMHAS). Users include virtually all staff at the regional psychiatric hospitals, including nurses, physicians, pharmacists and administrative staff. A wide variety of information is collected, including admission, discharge, billing, medication orders, legal and other information. Staff at many of the mental health boards sign in to PCS via the Internet to review patient information related to the board’s billing.
